Christmas On The Rhine

December 9 - 20, 2022

When Kim and I sailed along the Danube for our first Viking Christmas Markets Cruise in December 2018 it was simply magical.  I immediately began thinking of when we could do another one, but I wanted to enjoy the holiday experience along my most favorite European river, the Rhine.  Even though I've sailed through the Rhine River Valley twice already I will never tire of seeing those castles!  And I've never done it during this time of the year.  Kim loved our Christmas Market experience, but was not nearly as anxious to return for a holiday cruise, so I decided I'd explore going on the Rhine and invited my adorable niece to join me.  So, Khloe and I booked the Rhine River Getaway for a 2020 holiday cruise.  Because of the pandemic that trip was cancelled, so re-booked for 2021, cancelled again. Then early spring 2022 Viking announced a NEW itinerary along the Rhine and Khloe and I booked it! As an added bonus we were able to add a four-day pre-stay in Belgium, somewhere I've never been!  Very excited to have yet another exciting adventure with Viking River Cruises!
